Gold Vermeil (Necklaces + Earrings)

Our gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a thick layer of 18k solid gold on sterling silver. It lasts longer and provides the look and feel of gold jewelry at a fraction of the price. This is higher quality than gold plating with a better price point than gold filled. Gold vermeil is usually a great choice for individuals who may have sensitive skin.

What to know about wearing gold vermeil jewelry:
Vermeil will naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to environmental factors like air pollution, moisture, and items that contain sulfur.  However, it is easy to restore the shine of gold vermeil jewelry.

How to store gold vermeil jewelry:
Store in a safe, dry place-such as an anti-tarnish pouch or case. This will help to protect your pieces when they are not being worn.

How to clean gold vermeil jewelry:
Proactive maintenance is key. To keep tarnish from setting in, be sure to clean your pieces regularly by wiping them with a soft, damp cloth. To remove tarnish, buff gently with a polishing cloth. Note: polishing cloths can be abrasive so apply gentle pressure and don't over polish.

Gold Filled (Bracelets)

Gold filled jewelry has around 100% more gold than gold plated jewelry (with a much higher tarnish resistance).  It is made by bonding together gold and another base metal, so there is gold in the entire piece. Gold filled is the perfect alternative to solid gold jewelry.  This type of gold is easy to maintain and normally lasts a lifetime.

What to know about wearing gold filled jewelry:

You can shower in gold-filled jewelry, get it wet, wear it for life! We do recommend removing it in salt water or chlorine.

Tila Beads + Gold Plated Beads (Bracelets

Tila bracelets are made of glass beads from Japan on elastic stretch cord. All gold tila beads are gold plated. To keep your jewelry clean, wipe with a soft cloth.

What to know about tila beads and gold plated beads:

Protect the plating on the jewelry by removing it while in contact with water and before applying lotion, perfume, or hair products.  Never use jewelry cleaner on tila bracelets.  Don't expose your jewelry to water or harsh detergents.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our bracelets; however, if your jewelry is exposed to any of these products, tarnishing may occur.
